The children’s hospital will get help even from the Barum Rally book

The book project of Barum Rally is slightly different than the concept in 2013, but children will make a profit from this book regardless. To be precise, patients from children’s department in Klaudyan’s Hospital in Mlada Boleslav.

The idea of linking the publishing of the book about rally with the charity for children in 2013 proved good. The whole print run of Rally is named the Bohemia containing the spectator’s manual was sold out within half a year. Proceeds from this sale went to purchasing one multifunctional bed and one for the littlest infants for ICU Paediatric Department in Mlada Boleslav. Our discussion with children’s hospital, this time with Head Physician Ms. Jaroslava Chrtkova M.D., couldn’t start without asking first about feedback for satisfaction and usability of already purchased beds. “Both beds - bed Eleganza 3 at ICU and infant’s bed MiMi - significantly increased the comfort for children. The bed for brand new babies is used in maternity ward almost every day. Babies are transferred using this bed from the ward to rooms, where their moms are accommodated. The bed is very easy to manipulate with, it can be fixed in several positions, it is stable and the little one is feeling very comfortable in it. The big bed in ICU is valuable for its easy manipulation as well as fixing in several positions. Also, the sides system preventing a patient from falling down works very well. The bed is used on a daily basis and helps our staff a lot. In short we are very happy about these gifts,” said Ms. physician.

Our plan is to take a part of gain from each book resulting in the purchase of infusion pump with medicine dosing device, some beddings and clothes for the smallest ones in the price of 60,000 CZK in total. And what had to say about it the boss of the children’s department: “I’m very pleased that you have decided to support us again. You know we are really grateful for every donation, which can improve our services for children. We have agreed together with our nurses to ask you for purchasing of the infusion pump with medicine dosing device. This machine is used frequently every day and is dedicated to children requiring extra care for instance when a fusion for hydration or antibiotics are applied. We find other things such as beddings and clothes also very useful as we have over 3,000 hospitalized children and 1,330 new-borns every year. We want children to be fine at every aspect. Everyone can surely imagine how things used on daily basis get worn out very soon. We will be very happy knowing that children will be getting well in a nice environment, which is even better thanks to daily use things. A great thank you belongs to you for all your help to us.”

The term for handing the gift is not yet exactly dated. It surely depends on the success of this new book, which will reach its readers at the end of August the following year.
